Connect each wallet to your computer, either via USB or QR code (depending on the device).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Status quo in my example<\/strong>:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>In my example, I&#039;ve already created a seed phrase for the BitBox and the Jade, which is already stored on the devices. I&#039;ll create a new seed phrase for the Specter DIY. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Step 3: Integrate BitBox into the Multi Signature Wallet<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Connecting BitBox:<\/strong><br>Close your <strong>BitBox Hardware Wallet<\/strong> to the computer via the USB cable.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Enter password: <\/strong>If your BitBox is protected with a password, enter it to unlock the wallet. Using a passphrase is also possible, but not recommended, as it makes the wallet unnecessarily complex.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Sparrow Wallet recognizes the BitBox:<\/strong><br>In Sparrow Wallet, click on \u201cConnected Hardware Wallet\u201d and then on \u201cScan\u201d so that the program recognizes your BitBox.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Import keystore:<\/strong><br>Sparrow Wallet recognizes the <strong>X-Pub key<\/strong> (public key) of the BitBox automatically. You can enter this manually or scan the QR code. This is only relevant for privacy, not security. If someone were to log in, they could see how many Bitcoin you have.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Save descriptor:<\/strong><br>The <strong>Descriptor<\/strong> is crucial for your multi-signature wallet. It contains information about all X-Pub keys used. Save this descriptor <strong>absolutely<\/strong>Print it out and attach it to each piece of the multi-signature wallet. If you lose a seed phrase, you&#039;ll also need it to restore the wallet.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Tip:<\/strong> Save it in a password manager. This ensures you always have access to the multi-signature configuration.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Step 7: Manage seed phrases and backups of the multi-signature wallet<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Save seed phrases:<\/strong><br>Each hardware wallet has its own seed phrase. These should be secured in a robust manner, e.g. <a href=\"https:\/\/clavastack.com\/en\/product\/seedor-starter-set\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">stamped in steel<\/a>to protect them from physical harm.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Store backups in different locations:<\/strong><br>Make sure you secure your seed phrases and descriptor in different locations. Use security envelopes or QR code stickers to protect the information and ensure it can&#039;t be viewed unnoticed.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Step 8: Perform transactions: Multi Signature with Sparrow Wallet<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>After completing the setup, you can now make transactions. To do so, you will need at least two of the three hardware wallets to sign a transaction.
